Houston is home to multiple places that make it famous, but the most important one very well could be the Texas Medical Center. Memorial Hermann Hospital founded Life Flight in 1976, and to this day is still the only form of air transportation for hospitals in Houston. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has been leading the fight against cancer since 1941. Although the medical center has a rich past, it is focused on the future. Earlier in 2018, TMC3 was announced as the latest addition to the medial center. The research campus is scheduled to open in 2022, and will add a projected $5.2 billion to the Houston economy. The world’s largest medical center is only getting bigger and better!
